Do you live out of state? There are three options when it comes to transporting your new companion. We want to make this process as smooth and safely as possible for you and your beloved pet. While we ask you please call us for information to better fit your personal needs this will give you a general idea.
- Road trip!!! Come pick your new furry friend!! This gives you the opportunity to meet their parents as well.
- Ground transport by USDA certified carriers- lots of groups can be found on facebook of routes.
- Airplane - we only allow puppies to fly with a flight nanny. This can either be yourself, me or a hired professional.
For ground transport:
This takes a little bit of time and varies depending on the time of year, how far and where the puppy needs to go. Sometimes the cost is the same as if you were to fly a puppy! Some transporters require an exam. From our vet this is $40-70 for traveling in the united states.
Two facebook groups to check out for ground transport are small animal transport and hitch your pup a ride. If you know of anymore well maintained groups feel free to send me a suggestion! I'm sure there are lots of good ones out there.

For an airplane ride:
For puppies who are eight weeks of age they will fly inside the plane with a person. This can be a hired flight nanny, you, or I. Cost of hiring me or a flight nanny will vary on distance, normal rates are around $20 an hour. You will cover the cost of tickets both ways and the pet fee. With Alaska airlines this fee is $100 on top of ticket price, one way. You must read specific airlines requirements, each is different! When flying in cabin a puppy does not need a special health certificate. When flying/at the airport do not let your puppies paws touch the ground! Only let people look, no touching. You must protect your puppy and make sure it does not pick up a sickness. I will meet you at the airport with your puppy!
