Before bringing your puppy home you should plan on having everything you need already. On your trip home you should not bring your new little one to a store. This can overwhelm them and expose them to possible illness. This is VERY important to keep your puppy safe, please plan ahead. I am so excited you have chosen one of my puppies to bring into your home! Let me know if you have any questions about bringing your new baby home.

BrushesGrooming will need to be a part of your weekly routine to ensure a healthy coat, avoid matts and overall improve the health of your fur baby. We suggest not giving your puppy a bath more then once a month to avoid dry coat. While we do use a dryer for our dogs a good absorbent towel works wonders if you don't have one!
*Do not use a ferminator or a dog shed rake on their coat! It will slice their hairs and cause split ends. |

Crates & Play pens
To start out try and find something close to 15” W x 16” H x 24” L. You can also find crates with dividers. Starting with a smaller crate helps with potty training, they don't like to lay in their potty so it needs to be small enough they cannot potty on one side and still lay down comfortably. Puppies should not be left in crates over a long period of time. This is when play pens come in handy! At minimum you will need a 36" tall pen. Chewy & Amazon have some good options.

Feeding your puppy
- 6–12 weeks: Growing pups should be fed puppy food, a diet specially formulated to meet the nutritional needs for normal development. Feeding adult food will rob your puppy of important nutrients. Three feedings of a 1/4-1/2 cup per day is usually adequate to meet nutritional demands.
- 3–5 months: Sometime during this period, if you have been free feeding your puppy decrease to three feedings per day. A puppies should be losing her potbelly and pudginess by 12 or so weeks of age. Is your fur baby still a pudgy looking puppy? Continue to feed puppy-size portions until the puppies body type matures.
- 6–12 months: Begin feeding twice per day. Spaying or neutering lowers energy requirements slightly; after the procedure, begin to switch from nutrient-rich puppy food to adult food. Start with mixing the food 75% puppy- 25% adult food for the first week or two and 50/50 until one plus year of age. Better to be on puppy food a little too long than not long enough.
- After age 1: Most owners feed adult dogs two half-portions a day. Sometimes once a day may better fit your dogs schedule and diet.
